Tube Pin into Base Hole

Now that you have inserted the tubes into the base make sure the pin at the bottom of the tubes aligns with the small opening at the bottom of the base. The pin is the bearing that allows for small 360 degree panning. By inserting the pin into the hole, the tubes become secure and rotate very smoothly.
